Unveiling of Automated Financial Reports Writer AI by Optimum Computer Systems

Optimum Computer Systems is a leading provider of EPR systems for institutions of higher learning, supporting over 90 academic institutions in Kenya.

This launch happened on 19th August 2024 at Kenya School of Government, Lower Kabete. The launch of this tool as an EPR system will change the landscape of financial reporting in Kenya. It generates accurate financial reports easier and faster. It extracts financial data and produce results faster without errors as part of the results.

There were various speakers. CEO of Optimum Computer Systems, Cossigah Mokua Mamboleo. Representatives from institutions of higher learning from across the country. Professor George Muthaa from Turkana University College who talked on the need to embrace AI on the operations in universities and institutions of higher learning. They should embrace it because it is the current trend across so many other areas that may not be education related as well as areas that are education related. Mr Sammy Cheruiyot, principal of Kericho National Polytechnic lauded the move as a boost to the TVET sector. Implementing CBET curriculum which replaced KNEC is a chance to implement digital transformation which will then help to grow the sector.

This is a challenge to the financial sector to embrace AI. This is the ultimate catalyst for change. It is the innovation that's driving the future of finance. Different sectors are evolving through AI which is the current basis of digital transformation. The financial sector is under increasing pressure to adapt to this new reality.

AI will help curb financial fraud. Our country has faced many cases of financial fraud over the years. This erodes public trust and hinders economic growth and development. The financial sector should be fortified with systems that ensures transparency, integrity and accountability.
