There were two testimonials
Carol Mugo - student testimonial
She joined IYF immediately after high school. She wanted to do electrical engineering but she didn't due to a shortfall in the required grades. She then did computer class with IYF. She then did admin work with Mahain College where she was given the opportunity to apply the skills I learned. She then ended up finding her passion in finance and then did finance.
Spencer Owino - former student testimonial
He is the lead graphic designer working with Pesa flow. He graduated in graphic design from IYF. What really amazed him is that IYF offers spiritual aspects apart from learning skills. Hebrews 10:10 talks about by one offering, Jesus took away our sins. In a span of three months, quite a number of students have been able to come up with professional designs.
Speech by Chairman of IYF Kenya, Rev Yohan Kim. Initially he wasn't a very good student as he wasn't as smart. Initially he had no dreams, got into so much trouble, even got imprisoned. His father was a pastor and missionary in the USA. The parents sent him to South Korea where he met IYF Fellowship International. The parents expected some change in his lifestyle but there was no change. The following year there was still no change. He changed in the 3td year. He is now chairman of IYF Kenya and has so far lived in Kenya for 16 years. Skills and training alone are not enough, there should be a connection with Jesus Christ for a complete transformation. The next season of IYF Weekend Academy, we are targeting to have 20 branches so youth from across the country can benefit, not just Nairobi only. We are also planning to spread the expansion of branches to all the 47 counties.
Speech by CS Ababu Namwamba. IYF began with a visionary dream for youth to end up with hope, bright stars that illuminate the world. Equipping youth with skills for socio economic independence. Other stakeholders like Mabati Rolling Mills and KCB have stepped in to offer post graduation support. The next season, 6th season will begin on 22nd June 2024. The large number of youth who have so far applied is commendable. This year IYF will be celebrating 30th anniversary having been around 1994 to 2024. World Cultural Festival in Seoul, South Korea. Kenya's performance in this festival will elevate our global image as well as the exposure of the youth. Our esteemed graduates, this is the beginning of a new path, you are the torch bearers of our society. The immense potential in each of you, our support will remain steadfast. Your creativity will drive innovation. This weekend my dairy was loaded with sporting activities at Nyayo Stadium, Nairobi Safari Club and Nanyuki. However, I gave priority to IYF. This is because I believe in the impact of transformation in the lives of the youth.
