Kenyan NGO that stands out

Welcome to Haart Kenya

Haart Kenya is a Kenyan NGO dedicated to fighting human trafficking in Eastern Africa but based in Nairobi, Kenya. The approach applied by Haart is four P's (Prevention, Protection, Prosecution and Partnership).

Haart Kenya is countering human trafficking in Kenya since 2010. There are partners outside of Kenya in neighboring countries especially South Sudan and Ethiopia. So there is collaboration with the outside partners in order to be able to achieve our objectives.

With Kenya having one of the highest rates of human trafficking in Africa, the NGO has a lot of work to do on the ground. Also dealing with the underlying issues such as poverty, lack of viable economic and livelihood choices and discrimination would help a lot in combating this particular vice. In terms of gender, women and girls are more vulnerable to exploitation based on gender-based discrimination.
