Launch of Kenya Judicial Handbook

Launch of The Kenya Judicial Benchbook on Trafficking in persons for sexual exploitation. The International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ) Kenyan chapter has partnered with Equality Now to develop the Benchbook. It provides guidance and reference for judicial officers when dealing with cases of trafficking for sexual exploitation. Equality Now is an international human rights organization founded in 1992 to advance the rights of women and girls globally. IAWJ is a non-profit organization registered in 1993. It promotes the rights of women and children to access justice. Today is World Day Against Trafficking of Persons. This year's theme is leave no child behind in the fight against human trafficking. The Benchbook is centered on both Kenyan law and international human rights law. It therefore has international standards on human rights.
