Validation Exercise for National Counter-terrosim Centre. NCTC coordinates activities in all counties. However a survey was conducted and it emerged that 75% were not aware of NCTC. Thus is indeed an opportunity to reach out to the community.  The validation was overseen by NCTC Director Mr. Kibiego Kigen, reaffirming Kenya's commitment to resilience and peace. The revised NSPCVE strategy intergrates years of lessons learned. After validation, the NSPCVE will be presented to the National Security Council and President William Ruto. The strategy will then return to stakeholders across the country for practical implementation by local authorities, community leaders and citizens. The framework is facilitated by NCTC which is mandated by law to coordinate national counter- terrorism effects. Terre Des Hommes Africa Regional Director, Mr Raphael Kariuki gave the main address during the launch of Listen Up Global Strategy called Better Together to prevent and stop child exploitation. Terre Des Hommes Netherlands is an international NGO committed to stopping child exploitation. Since 1965, it has protected children around the world from harmful labour, trafficking and sexual exploitation. Empowering communities and connecting children to those who have the power to bring about change will lead to a halt in child exploitation. Addressing the root causes of exploitation will lead to solutions and systematic change which is better than going for remedies.  The launch brought together key stakeholders such as Government officials, child right networks and UN agencies to mark a step towards preventing and stopping child exploitation. Tusker Oktoba Fest event was held on 19th October 2024 at Club Enkare, Kitengela. The entertainment was courtesy of livebands Batoto Ba Mungu and Les Wanyika. Les Wanyika played out hits such as Sina Makosa and Barua Yako. There were two options on Sh1000 redeemable ticket. The WRTI Strategic plan launch 2023/2027 was held on 5th October at Wildlife Research and Training Institute HQ in Naivasha. Dignitaries present included Board Chairman Dr. David Nkedianye, CS for tourism and wildlife Hon Rebecca Miano, PS at State Department for wildlife Silvia Museiya, Chair of the KWS board of trustees and other dignitaries. At the institute we are committed to strengthening wildlife conservation in Kenya and nurturing skills for sustainable environment stewardship. The board of the institute has been instrumental in shaping these strategies. The end result has been ensuring good governance and strategic direction in formulating the strategic plan 2023-2027. On Monday 7th October, Network International a leading player in digital commerce in Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. They launched a series of digital payment solutions in Kenya as well as launching an ambitious plan to transform digital payment solutions across Africa. The 6th Cohort of the IYF Weekend Academy Program held on 5th October at Moi Sports Centre in Kasarani was graced by CS Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports, CS Kipchumba Murkomen. The CS was accompanied by PS at the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports.  The Government has a program called NYOTA (National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement). This program ensures that youth are empowered to create wealth. The IYF Weekend Academy Program has empowered youth across various fields of academics.
